Dr. Ismaily was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She completed her undergraduate studies at Stanford University in Stanford, California where she majored in Human Biology and spearheaded a non-profit organization focusing on journalism in the medical and human rights field. She received her Medical Degree and completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Here she was an active contributor to the UTSW journal club, highlighting novel research. She subsequently completed her Endocrinology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas where she also trained at MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Dr. Ismaily is a board certified in Internal Medicine and an active member of the Texas Medical Association, Harris County Society, American College of Clinical Endocrinologists and the Endocrine Society.  She has particular interest in hypogonadism and thyroid disease.  During her medical career, her research has led to several oral and poster presentations at national conferences. She is also a published author in Endocrine Practice. When she is not spending quality time with her husband Jeff and family, Dr. Ismaily enjoys hiking, poetry, and jewelry-making.
